Frequently Asked Questions
What safety precautions are taken?
We prioritise safety and ensure all precautions are taken. This includes distributing a Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) form, a thorough discussion of all potential risks and precautions taken, supplying / carrying our own safety fire blanket, wet towels, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit, and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of the specific fuel that will be used.
What if I can’t meet these space requirements?
We’d be happy to offer an LED light show for venues, events and client that do not allow fire shows within these space requirements, or indoor venues without the correct clearance levels.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes! Joanna is fully insured with AON for standard & fire performances. You can view a copy here, however we’re also happy to e-mail you a copy. Joanna’s public liability insures her for $30,000,000 any one occurrence.
How much space do you need to perform?

2 x 2 meters space is required for Palm Torches. Indoor height clearance is subject to the venue.

4 x 2 meters square and 2m height clearance is required for Fire Fans (COMING SOON).

3 meters clearance from any combustible material or persons. Nothing flammable can be within this space.
Will there be someone to help with safety?
For each fire performance, it’s a safety requirement that a Fire Safety Marshall is provided by Joanna to assist. The Fire Safety Marshall is trained to help in packing up and down, fuelling up, assessing the safety of the performance and Fuelling Up Station, and most importantly - spotting any fallen flames outside of the designated fire prop/s. You’ll be introduced to the Fire Safety Marshall should you have any questions or concerns during the fire performance. The appointed Fire Safety Marshall will be carrying a Fire Performance Manual with resources and checklists, that you’re welcome to view as well.
