About Joanna
Described as "the equivalent of a firework on New Year’s Eve," Joanna is Australia’s own internationally acclaimed belly dance performer, instructor, and powerhouse entertainer.

With over 25 years in the performing arts, Joanna’s dance journey began in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre before her love for SWANAH (South West Asian, North African & Hellenic) dance propelled her onto international stages across France, Spain, and Greece.
​
Here in Australia, Joanna is a proud and active member of the belly dance community, lighting up festivals, cultural events, and celebrations nationwide. 2025 has been a milestone year for her - headlining the Adelaide Fringe Festival’s Electric Oasis and touring across the country with Eurovision alumni Sarbel, Andreas (“Come to Dubai") Habibi, and Greek powerhouse vocalist Alexandra Aura.
Beyond the stage, Joanna shares her passion for dance, history, and culture as the resident Belly Dance & SWANAH Dance instructor at the renowned Maison Burlesque and Maison Burlesque Online platform, teaching students around the world.

Her dance style fuses Traditional Oriental with Cabaret flair, bringing theatrics, emotion, and a burst of energy to every performance. Joanna’s goal? To leave every audience buzzing with joy and adrenaline through a one-of-a-kind, personalised entertainment experience.
